CT Man, Woman Found Shot Inside Home Died From Murder-Suicide, ME Says

The deaths of a man and woman found dead from gunshot wounds inside a Connecticut home have been ruled a murder-suicide, according to the state's Chief Medical Examiner's Office.

Jennifer Green, age 52, and Stanley Green, age 62, both of New Haven, who are married, were found around 8:16 a.m., on Thursday, Dec. 14 in the 700 block of Russell Street.

Jennifer Green's cause of death was a gunshot wound to the torso, and her manner of death was a homicide, the medical examiner's office said.

Stanley Green died from a gunshot wound to the head and his death was ruled a suicide, they added.

The couple was found by a resident inside the home, who called the police, said Sgt. Cherelle Carr of the New Haven Police. 

Their deaths were ruled as suspicious at the time. 

Jennifer Green's death was New Haven's 23rd homicide of the year.
